Welcome to the Thursday Challenge by Create with Connie & Mary. I have used the Soft Seedlings stamp set to make a Hello card for the sketch challenge.
I opted to use Sahara Sand cardstock (CS), randomly stamping the “helicopter leaves” on the card base with Versamark. Is that what you call the seeds that twirl down from the Maple trees? “Back in the day,” we used these helicopter leaves to make whistles! Did anyone else do that? Back to the card: Next, I used Mossy Meadow to ink up the stamp; then, with a sponge dauber, I added a touch of Crushed Curry ink to the leaf before stamping on the 3″ x 4 1/2 panel of Sahara Sand CS. Before gluing it, I embossed the stamped panel with the Wintery 3D embossing folder (retired). However, the Fern embossing folder would work just as well.
According to the sketch, I added a 1/4″ x 3 3/4″ strip of Mossy Meadow CS before dimensioning the Hello sentiment, which I stamped in Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla CS. I used a banner die from All That Dies. Do you like the simplicity of this card as much as I do?
An Up-Close Look:
I added a Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed dot to the sentiment as my finishing touch to this card. I hope to brighten someone’s day with this simple Hello card. You can Click HERE to see what the other Design Team Demonstrators made.
