Eclectic Garden CCMC726

Welcome to the Thursday Challenge by Create With Connie & Mary.  I have used the Eclectic Garden stamp and Awash in Beauty designer series paper (DSP) to meet the challenge.

The Challenge:

We are challenged to CASE this card. What does that mean? It can mean either Copy And Share Everyting, or Copy And Selectively Edit. Therefore, we can copy the layout, the colors, the stamp set, the theme, etc. I chose to CASE the layout.

The Card:

Eclectic Garden CCMC726 sketch challenge card with Awash with Beauty designer series paper. The card base is Basic White Thick cardstock. I layered a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece from the Awash with Beauty DSP.  Next, using Early Espresso ink, I stamped the bird image with the sentiment stamped near it, but to the left of the bird image.  This piece was die-cut with the #5 Deckled Rectangle Dies, counting from the smallest (#1) Seeing that this die cut the image more extensive than I wanted, I lined the die to cut along the bottom (or you could cut along the top) to the desired size.

The Granny Apple DSP is also from the Awash in Beauty pack, and I die-cut it with the #3 die (from the smallest #1). Next, I die-cut the Calypso Coral cardstock (CS) with the Deckled Die #4 and the Early Espresso CS with die #1, then embossed both with the Fern 3D embossing folder.

Coloring and Assembly:

Using Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Combo markers, I colored the focal piece with Calypso Coral Combo and Dark Daffodil Delight from the Combo pack to color the bird. I colored the limb with the dark Crumb Cake marker and the leaves with the eclectic semi-circle from the stamp set with Granny Apple Green ink.  I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of this focal layer.

After positioning the three other die-cut pieces, I glued them together to the card front, finally dimensioning the focal layer atop.

Finishing Touch:

Finally, wanting to add some interest, I embellished the card with three Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots, as shown.  I hope you will take a moment and click HERE to see what the other talented Design Team members have made for you.  I have listed all the products I used to create this card below.
