Hello! Welcome to the Thursday Challenge by Create with Connie & Mary. This week we have a sketch challenge for which I have created magic is in the air card. I hope you like it.
The Challenge:
The Card:
Here is my ‘magical’ answer to the CCMC727 challenge. Unfortunately, I saw today that the Tree Lot Dies, a Sale-A-Bration item, have been depleted. However, many of you have them, and I am sure you will be happy to share them with your stampin’ friends.
The Magic Measurements and Assembly:
The Measurements:
- Base – Evening Evergreen Card Stock (CS) – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score and fold at 4 1/4″
- Layer 1 – Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper (DSP) 2 3/4″ x 5 1/2″
- Layer 2 – Basic White CS – 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″, die-cut with the third-largest Stitched Rectangle Die.
- Layer 3 – Basic White CS – 2 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ to stamp.
- Layer 4 – Gold Metallic Specialty Paper – 1/2″ x 3″, die-cut with the 3-star Tree Lot die.
- Layer 5 – Real Red CS – 3″ x 3/8″
- Inside Layer 1 – Real Red CS – 3 3/4″ x 5″
- Inside Layer 2 – Basic White CS – 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
- Inside Layer 3 – DSP – 3 1/2″ x 1/2″
Assembly:
- Adhere Layer 1 to the base. Adhere Layer 2 to the center of the card base, over-lapping Layer 1.
- Use Mossy Meadow ink to stamp the solid image of two large and one medium tree from the ‘Trees for Sale’ stamp set.
- Use Evening Evergreen ink to stamp the detailed image that coordinates with these trees, then die-cut.
- Glue one large tree to the far right side of Layer 2, then dimensional the other two trees, as shown.
- Glue Layer 4 to Layer 3.
- Use Versamark to stamp sentiment onto Layer 5, dust with white embossing powder, and heat set. Use mini dimensionals on ends to adhere over Layer 3 (the trees).
- Use Real Red ink to stamp the sentiments from Christmas To Remember onto Inside Layer 2, then adhere to Inside Layer 1.
- Glue Inside Layer 3 to Inside Layer 2, then inside the card.
Up-Close Look:
I hope you like this card and have already gotten the Tree Lot Dies! If not, I see fussy cutting in your future. LOL!
