Hello, and welcome to the blog hop! I am glad you are here. I hope you will hop along to all the creative demonstrators by clicking the links at the bottom of this post. We are still Sale-a-brating! I hope you know Stampin’ Up! added NEW Sale-a-bration (SAB) items this month. These items are only available until February 28th. I am showcasing a fantastic offer on my card today.
The Card:
I am confident you will recognize two (SAB) items that have been available since January. What is the new SAB item? Would you believe the new item is the Alphabet A La Mode dies? I could hardly believe my eyes! Click HERE to see all the new SAB items added this month. I know you will want to keep on Sale-a-brating!
The Details:
The Measurements:
- Base – Melon Mambo Cardstock (CS) – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Layer 1 – SAB Bloom Impressions DSP – 5 1/2″ x 3″
- Layer 2 – Basic White CS – 4 3/4″ x 2″, embossed with the SAB Starstruck embossing folder.
- Layer 3 – Melon Mambo CS – 4 1/2″ x 2″, this will be die-cut with the SAB Alphabet A La Mode dies (below)
- Layer 4 – Flirty Flamingo CS – 3″ x 1 1/4″, die-cut two large and two small flowers using the Country Flowers dies.
- Inside Layer – Basic White CS – 5 1/4″ x 4″
The Assembly:
- Adhere Layer 1 to the Base.
- Align the letter dies specified in Layer 3 (above) onto the CS as straight as possible, hold in place with Mint Tape or washi tape, and die-cut.
- Position and tape the negative of Layer 3 on Layer 2. Add tiny dots of glue to the letters and place them in the spaces left in the negative. Remove the negative and the letters are straight.
- Adhere Layers 2/3 to Layer 1.
- Add Layer 4 as shown above.
- Add Iridescent Faceted Gems to the center of each flower.
- Add a Gold Twisted Thread bow with a glue dot, as shown.
- Adhere the Inside Layer and decorate as desired.
A Close-Up and More:
Above is a close-up view of the die-cut sentiment on the card. For any demonstrators out there, I used this card for one of my clubs this month. I thought it would take too long for everyone to cut and line up the letters, so I used the directions above and taped all my dies together very well. This way, it was quick for everyone to get the letters cut out and on their cards. Below is a photo of the items I used.
I hope you like my card. If you do not have the Alphabet A La Mode dies yet, this is a fantastic chance to get them FREE with a $60 order! I hope you keep on Sale-a-brating! Please click on the link below to advance to the next post on the hop. And, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY tomorrow!
