Hello and welcome to the last Thursday in June’s Thursday Challenge by Create with Connie & Mary. I have used the Amazing Year stamp set to meet this week’s color challenge.
The Challenge:
Our color challenge is to use the Stampin’ Up! colors of Orchid Oasis, Balmy Blue, and So Saffron. This color combination is beautiful and soft.
The Card:
As well can be seen, this card uses soft colors and can be made quickly. It is an excellent card for a dear friend. To start, I used Orchid Oasis for the base of the card, with Balmy Blue for the first layer. Next, the gift was stamped using Orchid Oasis and colored with Balmy Blue, and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Markers.
Amazing Year Details:
The Orchid Oasis looks like it is blue in the photographs, but, in reality, it is more purple. This color, combined with Balmy Blue, complement each other very well. I stamped the gift package and all the wording with Orchid Oasis ink. To add interest, I die-cut the front Basic White focal layer with the Deckled Rectangles, a sort of ‘sleeper’ die set in the Annual Catalog. Check them out below. I layered the inside of the card as the card front to tie everything together.
Up-Close:
In this up-close photograph, the Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gem (available in the July-December catalog coming July 1st) placed in the center of the bow can be seen well. Even though it is subtle, it gives the perfect finishing touch to my card. If you have not checked out the Amazing Year stamp set, you may wish to do that, as I found this stamp set easy to use.
I now encourage you to go HERE to see what the other design team members have made to inspire you. Below I have listed all the products I used to make this card. Feel free to click on any of the products you want to purchase from me. I hope to see you next Thursday!
