Welcome back! It is time again for another Create with Connie & Mary creative challenge. We have a sketch challenge today for which I have made a “blocked” thank-you card.
I am so happy about this challenge as it gives me a chance to use the few scraps I have left of this gorgeous designer series paper (DSP); Hues of Happiness. The blocks I made of DSP are 1 1/4″ square, and the Pool Party mats are 1 3/8″ square.
Blocked Thanks Details:
The Highland Heather base is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″. I glued a Gorgeous Grape strip of cardstock (CS) measuring 5 1/2″ x 1″ across the bottom of the card about 1/2″ from the bottom. After arranging and dimensioning the four blocks on the card, as shown, I stamped the sentiment with Gorgeous Grape ink on a So Saffron piece of CS measuring 5/8″ x 1 3/4″. I used my bone folder to slightly curl the sentiment layer before adhering it to the card. As seen in the photo above, I added a 1/2″ strip of the DSP to the inside of the card.
The Finishing Touches:
Finally, as my finishing touch, I added a Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dot to the sentiment. I hope you like my interpretation of this sketch challenge and that you will continue to see the other Design Team’s creations here. If you would like to participate in this challenge, please post your cards on the Facebook Page.
