Welcome to the Thursday Creative Challenge by Create with Connie & Mary! My ‘stacked teacups’ card using the Cup Of Tea stamp set is an answer to today’s sketch challenge.
The Challenge:
The Stacked Teacup Card:
For my card, I turned the portrait sketch orientation to a landscape orientation. The teacups seemed to stack better on the card in this direction. All the designer series paper (DSP) on the card came from the coordinating pack in the Tea Boutique Suite on page 12 of the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.
Details:
The card base is Petal Pink with a 4 1/8″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Tea Boutique DSP glued offset to the left. Next, I added a 4 1/2″ x 1 1/4″ strip of Parakeet Party cardstock (CS). The third layer is a Garden Green panel 2 3/4″ x 3 5/8″, embossed with the Stripes 3D embossing folder. I die-cut three teacups from the DSP, first lining up the two cups with flowers and the third one from anywhere on the paper. (This sheet of 6″ x 6″ DSP has the floral pattern on one side and the gingham on the other) Using the detailed die, I die-cut one cup from Sweet Sorbet CS that I glued to the checked patterned cup.
More Details:
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals on both floral teacups and glue on only the bottom of the middle cup, I added the teacups to the Garden Green layer. After stamping the sentiment with Garden Green ink, I cut it down to 2 1/2″ x 1/4″ and glued it to the Garden Green layer, and used a mini dimensional on the right side. The finishing touches on this card are the two yellow Fun Flowers Resin Shapes.
I can see so many fun uses of this suite! The products I used are listed below. I hope you will take a minute to see what the other Design Team Members have created to inspire you today.
