Hello, and welcome to the Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop! My apologies for the hiatus. Life happens! Today, our theme is the 2024-2026 InColors. I love the new colors and hope you do, too!
The Card:
This “speedy recovery” card is monochromatic using Summer Splash 2024-24 InColor by Stampin’ Up! The part I love the most about the card is that I paper-pieced the butterfly and did not have to do any coloring, making it a quick and easy card.
The In Color Card Details:
The Measurements:
- Summer Splash Cardstock (CS) – 7.5″ x 5.5″, scored and folded at 4.25″
- Basic White CS – 5.25″ x 4″ (inside), 5.25″ x 3″ (front), plus 2.5″ scrap to die-cut
- DSP – 5″ x 2.75″, plus scrap.
Assembly:
- Adhere the DSP to the 3″ strip of Basic White CS, then to the card front.
- Stamp the sentiment from Sweetly Scriped with Summer Splash ink on the 5.25″ x 4″ Basic White CS panel. Adhere to the inside of the card.
- Die-cut the scrap of white CS with Spotlight on Nature die.
- Use Pebbled Path ink to stamp the butterfly from Spotlight on Nature on the die-cut circle.
- Use Pebbled Path ink to stamp the butterfly again, this time on the scrap of DSP. Use Snips to trim around the wings only. Glue to the stamped image, then dimensional to the card front.
- (I love how I didn’t have to color the butterfly NOR cut out the body and antennas)
- Add a 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gem to complete the card.
