Hey! Welcome to this month’s Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop! How do you like our new blog hop banner? We have some fun-folds for you this month. I am using the latest online exclusive bundle titled Simply Zinnia. Let’s take a look.
The Card:
You are going to love the bright colors of the Flowering Zinnia Designer Series Paper (DSP)! I made this fun-fold card by cutting and scoring as usual for a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card, then added one more score line. I flipped the cardstock over (top to bottom) on my Simply Scored tool and scored on the 2 1/8″ score line.
The Fun-Fold Details:
Measurements:
- Base – Granny Apple Green Cardstock (CS) – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/5″, score at 4 1/4″, flip top to bottom, then score on 2 1/8″
- Layer 1 – Green DSP – 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″
- Layer 2a – Basic White CS – 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
- Layer 2b – Purple DSP – 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″, die-cut with second largest Scalloped Contours die
- Layer 3 – Basic White CS – 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″, Die-cut with triple Zinnia die.
- Layer 4 – Basic White CS – 3 3/4″ x 1/2″
- Inside Layer – Basic White CS – 4″ x 5 1/4″
Assembly:
- Adhere Inside Layer inside the Base.
- Adhere Layer 1 to the folded outside Base Layer, as shown.
- Adhere Layer 2b to Layer 2a;
- Use Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the Zinnias onto Layer 3. Color with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Granny Apple Green combo for stems and leaves, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, and Highland Heather combos to color the flowers, leaving centers blank, to be colored with Daffodil Delight Combo.
- Dimensional Layer 3 to Layer 2b, then glue the left side of Layer 2a to Layer 1, as shown.
- Use Glorious Grape ink to stamp the sentiment on Layer 4, diagonal cut the right end, and dimensional to the card as shown.
