Welcome to the New Year and our first Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop! Although our theme this month is Snowy Days, I have a rather Springy card to share. I wish to give you hope for Spring after these snowy winter days.
The Card:
I love how this card turned out using the Flight & Airy Sale-A-Bration (SAB) Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the SAB Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder. If you are unfamiliar with Stampin’ Up!, Sale-A-Bration is a promotion where you earn free products depending on your purchase amount. Some items can be earned for each increment of $50 in purchases, and the tier 2 products are earned with increments of $100. The DSP along the left side and the fussy cut bird and floral branch on the nest are from the SAB DSP. What stamp set did I use?
Details:
Did you know the stamp set? It is the Everyday Details Stamp Set on page 28 of the new January-April mini catalog. I stamped the nest with Early Espresso ink and used a dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Marker to color it. For the eggs, I used an Ivory Blends marker. And finally, I colored the tiny leaves with a dark Soft Seafoam Blends marker.
The card is a standard size when folded. I started with an 11″ x 4 1/4″ of Boho Blue cardstock (CS), then scored it at 4″ and 5 1/2″. I embossed the four inches before the first scoreline with the Softly Sophisticated embossing folder, then folded the card on the 5 1/2″ scoreline. Finally, I glued the 1 1/2″ portion between the score lines together. The card opens on the 4″ scoreline.
Below is an up-close photo of the focal point that I colored.
The Inside of the Card:
This card can be used for many different occasions or no occasion at all. Every day is special!! I hope you will hop along to the rest of the blogger’s creations. Have a great week, knowing these snowy days will end in a few months!
