Welcome to the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! In this month’s blog hop, we offer tags and packaging suggestions for your gifts as we near Christmas. I hope they are the kind of ideas that will be helpful to you.
The Tags:
Gingerbread Man Christmas Tag:
I have made several different Christmas tags for this post. The tags in the above photo use a 2 3/4″ square of Shaded Spruce cardstock (CS) with the cute little gingerbread man dimensioned on top. The red ribbon and rhinestone basic jewels finish the tag front with”TO: and FROM:” being stamped on the back. These tags are straightforward to make and cute in real life.
Stockings Christmas Tags:
These tags are fun to make and to receive. The middle tag above is stamped with Real Red ink onto Basic White CS, then die-cut with the matching die from Sending Cheer. When die-cut, it is already a tag. Simple! I added some Wink of Stells to the top and several rhinestones on the stocking. Next, the tag on the left is made by cutting Crumb Cake CS with the largest Tayler Made Tags dies. The stocking for this tag was stamped the same as the other, but the top was removed, and a single die-cut topper was added, then colored with Wink of Stella. A few rhinestones are scattered, and the To and From are stamped on the back of the tag. (As it is stamped on ALL the tags on this post)
Can you see anything unusual about how the To and From are stamped? If you look at the Sending Cheer dies, it can be noticed that the To and From are much closer together. Since I tend to write rather large, especially on a kid’s Christmas gift, I want them stamped with more separation but without much fuss. So, I cut the photopolymer stamp apart and placed it on my block, as seen below.
I usually do not cut my stamps; however, the To and From typically get it for Christmas tags. After all, they are my stamps.
The Gift Tag for Christmas:
The gift image used on this tag is the most versatile to alter. I die-cut the tag in the middle with the second largest Tayler Made Tag die. I stamped the box with Real Red ink and the Garden Green bow die-cut. The other two tags are on the largest Taylor Made Tag die-cut using the same colors. The tag on the left was stamped in Real Red; then the bow was stamped with Garden Green ink and die-cut with the matching die, while the tag on the right was stamped with Real Red, and a Garden Green bow was die-cut and added. Instead of “bling,” I added the stamped sentiment on the bottom.
Those are a few of my simple ideas. Whatever you do, HAVE FUN creating tags. They do not have to be perfect! You know they will be tossed on Christmas Day. Merry Christmas to everyone viewing my blog. I hope you enjoy the day! The other demonstrators listed below have spent precious time making samples for you. I hope you will click and continue along the hop.
