Hello! Welcome to the monthly Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop! I am so glad you are here. This month we are going to have fun with Stampin’ Up! Bundles that come with an automatic 10% discount! Of all the bundles to choose from, I chose the Desert Details bundle for my card today. I hope it inspires you to try it!
The Card:
The Desert Details bundle is part of the Delicate Desert Collection found in the 2023 Jan-April mini catalog. I paired this with the Alphabet a La Mode Dies to make a thank you card. I love the details on the frame!
The Bundles of Fun Thank You Card Details:
I started with an Evening Evergreen card base and added a 5 1/4″ x 4″ panel of Soft Succulent cardstock (CS) to both the inside of the card and the card front. Next, I stamped three small flowers onto Basic White CS using Cajun Craze ink and die-cut them out. I also die-cut the border using Evening Evergreen CS. I glued the border to a 4 1/4″ x 3″ piece of the Delicate Desert designer series paper (DSP).
Next, I applied an adhesive sheet to the back of a 1 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of a gold foil sheet, then die-cut the THANKS lettering. I applied the letters to the DSP in the frame. To get them straight, I lined the letters up along a straight edge on the card front (before taking the protective cover off the adhesive sheet). When they were lined up as I wanted, I lined typing paper up where the ruler had been and held it in place with some washi tape. (sticky notes would work too) I put a tiny pencil tic on the paper where the small circle was embossed on the letter. Keeping the paper in place, I could take the letters off to lift the protection from the back and stick the letters in place exactly where they were before. I hope that makes sense to you.
Finally, I glued the frame to the card front and two flowers in the lower right corner, then popped one up on a dimensional. Adding a Brushed Metallic Dot was my finishing touch.
An Inside View:
Because this bundle made a thank-you card, I only stamped a few flowers in the lower left corner of the 5″ x 3 3/4″ inside Basic White CS. I hope you like my card and will continue to hop along with the other talented members of Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop by clicking the links below.
