Hello! Welcome to the Thursday Challenge by Create with Connie & Mary. For the sketch challenge, I used the Biggest Wish stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
The Challenge:
The Biggest Wish Card:
Do you have a friend with whom you have not been in touch lately? If so, this is the card to send. That it makes a bold statement is an understatement!
Some Details:
I used a Gray Granite card base with the beautiful Sun Prints designer series paper (DSP) cut 1/8″ shorter and narrower than the usual 5 1/4″ x 4″ panel. Next, using Starry Sky ink, I stamped the sentiment, from Biggest Wish stamp set, on a 1 1/8″ x 6″ piece of cardstock (CS) and layered it on a piece of 1 3/8″ x 6″ piece of Gray Granite CS. Laying it diagonally across the panel of DSP, I trimmed the overhanging edges. I added dimensionals to the back, careful not to block the area where the ribbon would go.
Finally, I glued the DSP to the card front and added the sentiment with dimensionals, adding a piece of folded 3/4″StaStampin’ed Ribbon with a glue dot, as shown.
In the side-view position of the card in the photo above, the inside Basic White CS can be seen with a matching strip of DSP used on the card front.
Another view:
In the photo above, the Iridescent Rhinestone jewels can be seen setting off the sentiment.
I hope you like my card. Perhaps you have a friend you have not seen in a long time who would love to get this card. It is a quick and easy card to make with no die-cutting or embossing. Click HERE to see what the other design team members have made in response to this sketch challenge.
