Hello, Stampers! Welcome to another week of the Thursday Create Challenge with Connie & Mary. My family and my beautiful friends have incredibly blessed me. So, a friendship of beauty is the theme of my sketch challenge card.
The Sketch:
The Card:
I love the early release of the Wave of the Ocean bundle coming in the new annual catalog that goes live in May. However, the bundle carries over; the gorgeous designer series paper (DSP) is available only while supplies last, as are the foil sheets and Wave Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
The Friendship of Beauty Details:
I began this card by stamping the large Wave at the bottom of the card front with Night of Navy ink. Next, I used a sponge dauber and added Pacific Point ink over the stamped image. After layering some DSP on foil, I added the three rectangles shown in the sketch but stair-stepped them instead of lining them up straight down the right side. I stamped the sentiment with Pacific Point ink onto a narrow strip of Basic White cardstock that I arrowed at one end.
The Measurements:
- Coastal Cabana CS – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Blue Foils Specialty DSP – (3) at 2-3/8″ x 1-1/8″
- DSP – (3) at 2-1/4″ x 1″
- Basic White CS – 3-3/4″ x 1/2″, and 4″ x 5 1/4″ for the inside.
Up-Close:
The photo above shows two of the three Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels that I added to the rectangles. These rhinestones are exquisite!
The Inside:
Although the sentiment looks more like Night of Navy in this photo, I stamped it with Pacific Point, then die-cut it with a label die from the Waves Dies. I like the way it looks. How about you?
