Thank you for visiting my blog! Today it is my pleasure to participate in this blog hop for the first time. This blog hop is an event by Stefanie Pletscher and Crafty Collaborations. I love the theme “Florals.”
The Card:
Using the beautiful flower from the Crane of Fortune stamp set, I stamped it repeatedly with Smoky Slate ink onto a Basic White panel of cardstock (CS). I added Smoky Slate ribbon down the center of the first layer before adhering to the Basic Gray card base. Wanting to focus on the lovely flower and the sentiment, those are the only images I stamped with Highland Heather ink.
More Floral Details:
Measurements:
- Card Base: Basic Gray CS – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- Layer 1: Basic White CS – 5 1/8″ x 4 1/8″
- Layer 2: Basic Gray CS – 3 1/8″ x 3 5/8″
- Layer 3: Smoky Slate CS – 2 7/8″ x 3 3/8″
- Layer 4: Basic White CS – 2 3/4″ x 3 1/4″
- Layer 5: Smoky Slate CS – 2 1/4″ x 5/8″
- Layer 6: Basic White CS – 2 1/2″ x 3/4″, die-cut with the Tasteful Labels stitched banner die.
- Inside: Basic White CS – 4″ x 5 1/4″
Assembly:
- Repeatedly random stamp the floral image from Crane of Fortune using Smoky Slate ink on Layer 1. Wrap a 6″ length of Smoky Slate ribbon down the middle of Layer 1, adhere to the back, and glue to the card base.
- Use Highland Heather ink to stamp the same floral image on Layer 4, then adhere to Layer 3, then 2. Dimensional this unit to Layer 1.
- Use Highland Heather ink to stamp the sentiment onto Layer 6, then glue to Layer 5 and dimensional onto Layer 1.
- Scatter Rhinestone Basic Jewel on the card, as shown.
- Add the Inside Layer and decorate as desired.
Simple Stamping with Florals:
There is little need for other techniques with simple stamping using two different colors, one random and the other the focal point. I love this card’s simplicity yet subtle elegance, and I hope you do too. Following is a list of the talented demonstrators who have also blogged about Florals today.
