Welcome to a Create with Connie & Mary color challenge! I made two cards for this challenge. Hence, the title ‘Card Duo.’
The Challenge:
I cannot lie. I am not an “orange” fan, at all! So, this was a struggle.
The Cards:
This is the first card I made. It is very, very bright and pretty in-your-face. However, I do like the geometric shapes made with the Slim Sayings Bundle. When my daughter saw it, she had a fit! Absolutely could not see that being posted. Well, here it is. It is what it is, right?
She said she would make a card using those colors if I could give her grass, sun, and sky. I showed her this Grassy Grove Bundle and she loved it. The three colors are applied with our Blending Brushes. They could be darker but, I think you can still see all three colors. BTW, she is really a stamper, she just won’t admit it yet. LOL!
The first card looks quite complicated however, it is not. I die-cut the Slim Card die with Pumpkin pie and Mango Melody, first layering the Mango piece and filling in the every-other negative space with a Pumpkin positive piece. Then, I layered the Pumpkin Pie die-cut piece upside-down and randomly stamped it in Evening Evergreen.
The second card is quite straightforward. It uses a Basic Black card base and a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece die-cut with the Grassy Grove die. It has the Basic White cardstock brushed with the three colors sandwiched in between.
That is all I have for you today. Click HERE to see what the other talented ladies did to inspire you today.
