Hello, and thank you for visiting my blog. I am so excited! Today is my first time joining the Share It Sunday Blog Hop. There is no particular theme, so I will show you the latest card I created to celebrate a friendship and birthday together.
The Card:
I played with the early release, available in March, Waves of the Ocean Collection. Below is a video that shows the offering. The collection will be in the new Annual Catalog coming out in May. The designer paper, foil sheets, and rhinestones are available only while supplies last. This stamp set lends itself to various cards, from celebrating a friendship to a birthday and much more.
The Details:
I started with Shimmery White cardstock on which I stamped the harvest moon, from the To The Moon stamp set, with So Saffron ink. I masked the moon and used my Blending Brushes to add Misty Moonlight and Blushing Bride ink for the background. Because I did not delineate between the sky and water, I used the flattest Water Painter to pick up Misty Moonlight ink and define the line better.
Satisfied with the background, I die-cut a perched pelican, and the birds in flight with the Waves Dies. The sailboat was punched out of Basic Black cardstock with the Sailboat Builder Punch and dimensioned onto the card. Finally, I stamped the sentiment with Jet Black Staz-On ink and added a few Matte Black Dots to finish the card front.
The Inside:
The layers of cardstock on the inside of the card are the same measurements as the card front. 5″ x 3 3/4″ art panel layered onto a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ panel. I love the sentiments in the set and the fact that the stamps Distinktive™ stamps.
I hope you like this friendship card that is doubling as a birthday card! Remember to add this collection to your “wish list” for your March order! Now, I encourage you to continue to the next demonstrator in this hop by clicking on the following link or clicking on the “next blog” button on the top right of the list. Have a great week!
