Hello, Stampers! It is Thursday and time for the Thursday Challenge from Create with Connie & Mary. Today we have the color challenge seen below. I have opted for a Thinking of You card. I hope you like it!
Misty Moonlight Cardstock (CS) – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score and fold at 4 1/4 for the card base.
Basic White CS – 5″ x 3 3/4″, die-cut along right edge with the Scallop Contours die; 3 1/2″ x 1″ scrap to stamp sentiment and die-cut with Meadow dies; 4″ x 5 1/4″ for inside panel
Just Jade CS – 2″ x 4 1/4″ and 1″ x 4 3/4″ to die-cut leafy elements for card front.
2021-2023 In-Color DSP – Freesia 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel plus scrap to die-cut the flowers.
To Assemble, adhere the DSP onto the card base. Arrange and then glue the greenery and DSP flowers onto the Basic White scallop panel, as shown. Next, apply rhinestones to the flower centers. In addition, dimensional the die-cut sentiment piece, after stamping ‘Thinking of You with Misty Moonlight ink on it, to the lower end of the white scallop panel. Scatter a few 2020-2022 In-Color square gems around then, adhere to the DSP layer on the card front.
An Up-close Look:
This up-close photo shows how I die-cut just the upper portion of the floral die then used Snips to cut the DSP flowers from the stem. Finally, I glued the DSP flowers onto the original Just Jade die-cut and added the rhinestones. The Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and dies made this card come together in a snap!
The Inside of the Card:
This easily made card can be used as a sympathy card or as a card to let your friend know you are thinking of her on the day of her surgery or first chemotherapy treatment. Changing the sentiments, it could serve as a birthday card too. There are so many possibilities!
I wish each of you a great September! Now, to see what the other Thursday Challenge Team members did to inspire you, click HERE. Thanks for stopping to check out my card. I hope to see you next week!
