Welcome to Create with Connie & Mary’s Thursday Challenge! Today we have a sketch challenge that I met by using the Nature’s Harvest stamp set.
The Challenge:
The Card:
You simply cannot find an easier layout than this one! Any colors, any sentiments, quick, and easy! I had the Nature’s Harvest stamp set within reach so I decided to use it to make this card for a friend about to embark on chemotherapy or surgery or some other struggle. It is nice to know that your life has meaning in other people’s lives, right? First, I stamped tone on tone for the background.
Nature’s Harvest Details:
Next, I cut two pieces of the Harvest Meadow designer series paper (DSP). The branches piece of DSP is 3 3/8″ x 2 1/8″ and, the scripted piece of DSP measures 3 5/8″ x 2″. The Basic White sentiment layer is 3″ x 3/4″.
After writing those measurements I wonder, have you ever questioned how someone decides which measurement (longest or shortest) to put the first x the second? I try my best to follow The Graphics industry standard which is Width x Height so, actually, it does not matter if the longest or shortest is first. It solely depends on the width and height. I sometimes wonder if that is the way most people write them. Hmmm. I digress.
I used Evening Evergreen ink to stamp the sentiments on both the inside and outside.
The Inside:
This is on the inside. Along with a personalized note, I think it will be perfect.
Now, it is time to take a look at what the other Design Team members made for this sketch challenge. You can CLICK HERE to see their creations with a link to their blogs. Thank you for the generosity of your time to come along on this hop each Thursday. We appreciate you!
