Hello, and welcome to the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. I am honored to be part of the Design Team for this weekly blog hop. I hope you are having a Peachy Day!
Today’s Sketch Challenge:
The Card:
This sketch had me puzzled for several days. I finally completed it and, looking back; I may have substituted a gold foil strip instead of the Pale Papaya. However, I think it is fine this way too. Wouldn’t you love for a friend to send you a card saying “Have a peachy day,” just because? I know I would. This came together quite quickly once I decided on the colors and bundle I wanted to use. This Sweet As A Peach bundle, in my humble opinion, is a must-have in any craft room. It is happy and summery and fun. You can look HERE to see another “peachy” card I shared.
Details:
The card base is Calypso Coral cardstock (CS) cut at 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored and folded at 4 1/4″. The You’re A Peach designer series paper (DSP) is cut at 3″ x 5″ and the Basic white is 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″. The Pear Pizzazz and Pale Papaya strips are 3 1/4″ long. I used a Blending Brush to brush some Pear Pizzazz ink on the focal panel upon which my peach is situated.
Using Petal Pink ink on the peach stamp with some Calypso Coral ink daubed on one edge around to the bottom, I stamped the image onto Pale Papaya CS. The leaves were stamped using Pear Pizzazz ink with Early Espresso added with a Stampin’ Write Marker onto Basic White CS. I then die-cut both images using the Peach Dies.
Final Touches:
This photo shows the brushed-on Pear Pizzazz better than the others. I added a few Champaign Rhinestone Basic Jewels as the final touch on the card.
I hope you are inspired to play with the Sweet As A Peach bundle. Now it is time to click HERE to see what the rest of the Create with Connie and Mary Design Team has done to inspire you. I hope you have a peachy day!!
