Peaceful Poppies Sympathy

Hello, and welcome!  Although I wish I never had to send a sympathy card but, the fact is: I do.  I am sharing this card today to show you the versatility of the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I have used it on the Healing Hugs get well card and the Painted Poppy Birthday card recently.  It is my “go-to” DSP for the time being.

I wrapped a 6 1/2″ piece of Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon on the left edge of the Whisper White strip of cardstock and glued it to the card front after preliminary positioning.  Putting the ribbon around the cardstock makes it show up better.  I added the DSP, butting it up against the ribbon.  I stamped the leaves with Old Olive ink onto an Old Olive scrap and die-cut with the matching die.  Then, continuing to die-cut, I cut the solid poppy from Calypso Coral scrap, the outline of the poppy from Poppy Parade scrap and, the flower’s center from Basic Black scrap. To finish, I assembled the flower, glued the leaves behind it, and popped it up on the card front with dimensionals.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment using Blackberry Bliss ink and punched it with the Classic Label punch then, added to the card with dimensionals.

The Inside

The inside of the card is stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink using a sentiment from Peaceful Moments.  I used Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive Stampin’ Write Markers to add ink to the single poppy and bud (from Painted Poppies); then, I used a blender pen to blend the ink from the stamped image into the empty area, in effect coloring the flower, stem and, bud.   In my opinion, the best purchase option is to get the entire Peaceful Poppies Suite and, the best time is now, so you earn additional Sale-A-Bration products!  Everything in this suite is easy to use, coordinates completely, and is versatile enough to make a card for almost any occasion.  Come back tomorrow to see the masculine birthday card I made with this “floral suite”!  Impossible??  Nope, I promise.
