Hello! Welcome to this week’s Thursday Challenge by Create with Connie & Mary. We have a color challenge for which I have created a botanical thank you card.
The Challenge:
The Card:
My card is a collage of several stamps from the Botanical Layers stamp set. Super easy to do because it is created by stamping the different images using the colors Starry Sky, Calypso Coral, and Pale Papaya; in that order on the 3 3/4″ x 5″ Basic White cardstock.
Botanical Thanks Details:
Measurements:
- Card Base – Calypso Coral Cardstock (CS) – 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored and folded at 5 1/2″
- Layer 1 – Starry Sky CS – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
- Layer 2 – Basic White CS – 3 3/4″ x 5″
- Layer 3 – Starry Sky CS – 3″ x 2 1/4″, die-cut with Merriest Frames EF Die.
- Layer 4 – Basic White CS – 3″ x 2 1/4″, die-cut as above, then trim the stitching off all four sides.
- Inside Layer 1 – Starry Sky CS – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
- Inside Layer 2 – Basic White CS – 3 3/4″ x 5″, die-cut with the second largest Deckled Rectangles Dies.
Assembling Botanical Thanks card:
- Stamp Layer 2, as shown with Starry Sky, Calypso Coral, and Pale Papaya ink; in that order. Then, adhere to Layer 1, then to the card base.
- Stamp Layer 4, as shown with Starry Sky, then Calypso Coral. Adhere to Layer 3. Then, dimensional onto Layer 2, as shown.
- Sprinkle a few Pale Papaya Fine Sparkle Adhesive-backed Gems for bling on the card front.
- Adhere Inside Layer 2 to Layer 1, then to the inside of the card, and decorate as desired.
Finishing Touches:
In this small image, you can see that I was generous when I sprinkled my ‘bling’ on the card. I couldn’t stop!
