Hello! Welcome my blog and the Thursday Challenge with Create with Connie & Mary! Today we have a sketch challenge. I am using the Wildflower Path stamp set.
The Challenge:
The Card:
The Wildflower Path stamp set is one that I have not used up until now. I am thankful that it is being carried over into the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, which goes live in five days! Yes, we can finally order from this catalog on May 3, 2022. Now, on to the card. I had so many different ideas of stamp sets to use for this sketch, and I ended up using the Wildflower Path with purple wildflowers because I think it is a card suitable to give a man even though it has flowers. After all, the flowers are wild.
Wildflower Birthday Details:
I found this to be a straightforward card to create. The black and white designer series paper (DSP) does most of the “heavy lifting.” Furthermore, the stamped piece is only 2″ x 4 1/8″ with a back-panel of Basic Black cardstock (CS) 2 1/8″ x 4 1/4″. Veering slightly from the sketch, I began with a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ panel of Basic Gray CS on which to glue my DSP. The striped piece measures 1 1/4″ x 5″, and the designed piece measures 2 1/4″ x 5″.
Finally, the sentiment is stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink onto a 1/2″ x 3″ strip of Smoky Slate CS, snipped an angle on the right end and added a NEW Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dot for bling. This Dot is from an assortment of Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Pool Party glossy dots, each color in three sizes. It is a must-have! Because I cannot list it at the bottom, the item number is 158827.
The Inside:
I am opting to leave the inside void of sentiment until I know the recipient, and I can either stamp a sentiment or write a personal note. That is my inspiration for today. I hope you will go HERE to see what the other design team members have done with this sketch challenge. Enjoy your weekend!
