Thankful CCMC686

Welcome to the Create With Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! With Thanksgiving just a month away, I decided to make a “so thankful for you” greeting card using the CCMC686 color challenge.

The Card:

Why a ‘so thankful for you’ card? With Thanksgiving on the horizon, there are a few special people to whom I want to send a card showing my thankfulness for them. I used Evening Evergreen as the card base with a layer of Bumblebee cardstock (CS), on which I added my images made from Pumpkin Pie CS. Thus, I have met the CCMC686 color challenge.

The Details:

I used the Grapevine Dies to die-cut the Evening Evergreen leafy vine. Don’t you think that looks close enough to the pumpkin leaves? The pumpkins were all die-cut from the Detailed Pumpkins die set. I lightly pencil-traced the die and trimmed it with my Snips to get the solid backing on the detailed pumpkin. Furthermore, as you can see in the above photo, I stamped the top portion of the pumpkin trio inside the card and colored only the leaves, leaving plenty of room to write a note. The card is an A2 card with the base being 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ when folded and fits in an A2 envelope.

Up-Close and Thankful

I am so thankful for the faceted 2021-2023 In Color Jewels. Along with a linen thread bow, they are a perfect finishing touch for this card, appropriate to send to males and females alike.
