Color Challenge with CCMC676

Hello! Welcome to August and the Create With Connie and Mary (CCMC)676 Thursday Color Challenge.

The Challenge:

Have I told you that I love challenges? A sketch challenge and a color challenge are great places to start when trying to create a card. I find the sketch challenge a little easier than the color challenges but, both give me a place to start. Have you tried them? If not, start today! The Card:

Using a Night of Navy card base, I added a 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″, Tasteful-Textile-embossed panel of Soft Succulent cardstock (CS). Next, I die-cut Petal Pink CS with the largest stitched die in the Hippo & Friends die set by Stampin’ Up!®. After stamping an image from the Shaded Summer stamp set, I color the empty spaces with Soft Succulent and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends combo packs. Soon, I was finished coloring, added dimensionals to the reverse side, and added the panel to the card front, as shown.

The sentiment found in the Shaded Summer stamp set is stamped with Night of Navy ink onto a 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ strip of Petal Pink CS. After adding the Soft Succulent bow with a glue dot, I scattered a few Elegant Faceted (clear) Gems on the card as the finishing touch. This photo shows a sneak peek at the inside of the card.

Inside of the Card:

Of course, I carried the colors from the color challenge to the inside of the card. I also stamped another image of the Shaded Summer flowers on the inside to coordinate with the card front. I hope you like my card. The supplies to make this card are listed below.
