Hello, and welcome to another blog hop! I am glad that you have joined us! Whether you are starting here or have come from another blog, there is a list of demonstrators taking part in this month’s blog hop at the bottom of this post. Click on the next name on the list to go to the next demonstrator’s blog to see what she has posted to inspire your creativity. I have made a card for you today with the Tulip Builder Punch and Pleased As Punch designer series paper. ENJOY!
The Card
As you may know, several coordinating products were introduced earlier this month. The new products included several sets of dies and the Pleased As Punch designer series paper (DSP) that coordinates with various punches. My card showcases some of the DSP that coordinates with the Tulip Builder Punch. The 1″ striped strip of DSP on the left edge of the card is also in the package. There are three sheets each of four double-sided designs. A must-have in my humble opinion.
The Details
There is so little stamping done on this card, one may not be able to call it a hand-stamped card at all. LOL! When and where I made this card, I had forgotten all of my embossing folders, hence the lack of embossing on the card base. I think the Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder would have added more interest to this card. I die-cut the largest stitched scallop rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies then stamped two stems from the Timeless Tulips stamp set onto it as shown above.
Close-up view
After that was completed, all that was left was to punch the tulips and leaves with the Tulip Builder punch and dimensional them onto the focal panel. Note that the top tulip was glued flat. Then, using the “hello” sentiment, included in the Timeless Tulips set, I white heat-embossed it onto a scrap of Balmy Blue cardstock and die-cut it with the smallest die from the Stitched So Sweetly die set. The bow of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon was attached using a mini glue-dot.
