Welcome back to my blog. Today I have a straightforward card that I think packs a big punch! Who wouldn’t love to get this cute card as a thank you note!?!
The Card
I recently got a Scan ‘n’ Cut machine and love cutting our designer series papers (DSP) with it. The “Best Dressed” DSP has several 6″ x 6″ pieces that can successfully be cut out by the machine. However, they would be easy to cut with a pair of Snips too, especially if you are making only one or two cards. There are purses, shoes, and perfumes. I received a swap that had the large stitched oval with a layout like this one. I used stamped-off Highland Heather and Blackberry Bliss ink to stamp the center then just arranged the cut-outs. The card base is Petal Pink with a 1″ strip a different pattern of the same DSP.
The Measurements
- Petal Pink – 8″ x 5 1/2″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″.
- Whisper White – 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside); 2 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ to stamp and die-cut
- DSP – 5 1/2″ x 1″
In Conclusion
As you can see, a card does not have to be complicated or difficult to make to be as cute as can be! You might want to take another look at the Best Dressed Suite on page 54-56 in the Mini Catalog! And, when was the last time you have mailed a thank you note to a friend? Thank you for stopping in today! Click on any item below to be taken to my online store to order.
