Hello, Stampers, Thank you for taking our blog hop today! I thought it only appropriate to use the brand new In The Tropics dies to make my card for this hop. It is created especially for my fellow demonstrators who have earned the trip to Maui – ENJOY! If you have yet to earn an incentive trip, start planning now then, work the plan!! Do the math, see what it will take, and then, like NIKI, JUST DO IT!
THE CARD
This card came together quite easily. However, I must confess that it does use items from several different suites and catalogs. The main focal points of my card, the pineapple dies and beautiful designer series paper (DSP), are included in the “Tropical Oasis” suite on page 38 of the new January-June Mini catalog. Gold foil sheets and Noble Peacock foil sheets from the Annual Catalog were used to die-cut the pineapple. And, yes, I fussy cut the flowers from a sheet of the stunning Tropical Oasis DSP. Furthermore, the reverse side of that same DSP (actually a scrap I had left from cutting the flowers) was used to gold emboss the word “Enjoy” using the alphabet set “Make A Difference” in the Annual Catalog. Adding a touch of gold shimmer ribbon from the Christmastime is Here Medley, “grounded” the pineapple.
MORE DETAIL
The details of the In The Tropics pineapples-dies can be seen nicely in this photo. I bent the already cut “leaves,” which adds beautiful dimension to the card and shows off the gorgeous Old Olive foil sheet. Besides, you can see a separate panel of Soft Suede cardstock was dry embossed, using the Tufted 3D embossing folder, then added to the card front. I used the second smallest Stitched Nested Labels dies to die-cut the gold heat-embossed sentiment. I used Stampin’ dimensionals to pop the flowers up.
JUST FOR FUN IN THE TROPICS
I HAD to do it! What do you think?
Using the sunglasses die from the “Pocket” dies, I cut some Basic Black cardstock to add a little fun to the card! So, Achievers, whichever one you like best, this card’s for you! Enjoy your trip in July 2020!! Order your supplies today by clicking on the icons in the Product List below.
Now it is time to hop along to the next blog. Thanks again for stopping by!
