Hello Stampers! And, welcome to the March segment of the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop. I am glad you are here. We are focusing today on Sale-A-Bration Coordination. I am using the second release Painted Seasons bundle (Painted Seasons Stamp Set and Designer Series Paper) and the coordinating Four Seasons dies that can be purchased separately. I could not help but use the new Story Label Punch that is also part of the Sale-A-Bration Coordination. This is the first year, of which I am aware, that Stampin’ Up! has had a coordination selection. Absolutely loving it!
A Closer Look At The Card
Looking closely, you can see some of the detail of this card. Specifically, notice that I placed a Heart Epoxy Droplet on the tiny heart that was stamped with Grapefruit Grove ink onto the sentiment circle. It makes that little heart ‘pop’ in real life. Also, you can see that I lightly sponged around the edges of the Story Label punched piece to tone down the starkness. And finally, notice that I used a sponge dauber to add an Early Espresso ink to the center of the flowers. I love how this makes the flowers match those in the the strip of designer series paper down the side of the card.
Another View
I think this side view shows how layers were attached the best. The Very Vanilla layer that was embossed with the Country Floral (second release SAB set) was glued directly to the Early Espresso card front. The focal 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece was also glued directly to the embossed layer. It is the Poppy Parade flower that is dimensionaled up on top of the Grapefruit Grove flower. And, finally, the layered sentiment was glued to the Story Label punched piece which was then added to the focal piece with dimensionals.
Finally
I hope you are inspired to take advantage of this amazing Sale-A-Bration coordination and are able to purchase the thinlits and punch (below) while supplies last!!
Now, it is time to hop along to Bonnie O’Neill’s blog to see what inspiration she is sharing today.
