Welcome to the Thursday Challenge by Create With Connie & Mary. I made a Mother’s Day card for today’s Sketch Challenge.
The Sketch Challenge:
Tulips for Mother’s Day:
When I saw the sketch challenge with a circle on it, I knew right away that I wanted to use one of the lovely new doilies. I chose a Pale Papaya card base and added the first layer using the same color but embossing it with the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder to add interest. The center 2 1/2″ strip of Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper (DSP) adds contrast. Knowing that my mother (in heaven) loved tulips, I wanted to use them on this card and, chose a Cinnamon Cider colored doily to accent them.
A Side View of the Tulips:
This photo shows that the first two layers on the card are glued while the sentiment layer, the doily, and the DSP are added with dimensionals. I hope you like the color combination as much as I do! For now, I left the inside Very Vanilla cardstock blank to add a note later.
An Up-Close Look:
I added a Pale Papaya bow with a mini glue dot and, a 2021-2023 In-Color Jewel in Evening Evergreen to the sentiment for the finishing touch.
A list of the products I used is listed below. Please click HERE to see what the other design team members have made to meet this Sketch Challenge.
