All Things Fabulous CCMC699

Create with Connie and Mary Design Team BadgeWelcome to the Create With Connie & Mary Thursday Challenge. Today we have a sketch challenge for which I used the stamp set All Things Fabulous.

The Sketch:

The Card:

A side view of a Polished Pink and Smoky Slate (gray) card with purple and pink flowers on a background of gray lace paper. The background is three patterns with pink on a gray card base. All products by Stampin' Up!Today is the first chance I have had to use my All Things Fabulous bundle from the Annual Catalog. One of my favorite color combinations is pink and gray, throw in some purple, and it is indeed fabulous! First, I embossed a 2 1/4″ x 4″ piece of Polished Pink cardstock with the Stripes embossing folder from the Stripes & Splatters mini 3-D embossing folder duo in the 2022 January-December Mini Catalog (J-D mini). I cut the 1 1/2″ x 4″ and 1″ x 4″ strips from the New Horizons 6″ x 6″ designer series paper (DSP) and glued all three pieces to the front of my Smoky Slate card base.

Some Details:

A Polished Pink and Smoky Slate (gray) card with purple and pink flowers on a background of gray lace paper. The background is three patterns with pink on a gray card base. All products by Stampin' Up!The inspiration to add silver foil behind a cut image came from a card I received from my friend Laurie. I used the darkest silver foil sheet, cut it with the largest oblong frame from the Hippo & Friends dies, and glued it to the card front. Proceeding on, I die-cut two “lace” pieces from Smoky Slate cardstock and attached them with glue dots, overlapping them a bit.

Next, I stamped two flowers with Highland Heather ink and Gorgeous Grape ink for the accents. Naturally, I stamped one flower with Polished Pink with Melon Mambo as the accent color. I  stamped the leaves with Pear Pizzazz, and finally, everything was die-cut with the coordinating dies. I arranged the flowers and added each with dimensionals in the center, leaving room to tuck the leaves under the flowers with mini glue dots.

The Finishing of All Things Fabulous:

An up-close look at a Polished Pink and Smoky Slate (gray) card with purple and pink flowers on a background of gray lace paper. The background is three patterns with pink on a gray card base. All products by Stampin' Up!

I stamped the sentiment with Gorgeous Grape ink onto a 1/2″ x 4″ strip of Basic White cardstock, then cut an angle on the left side. Adhering the strip to the card with dimensionals, I tucked it up under the flower and leaf, as shown. In this photo, I captured the shine showing from the darkest sheet of the Silver Foil Specialty Paper layered behind the focal point. I added several of the new Polished Dots as the finishing touch.

The Inside:

An inside look at a Polished Pink and Smoky Slate (gray) card with purple and pink flowers on a background of gray lace paper. The background is three patterns with pink on a gray card base. All products by Stampin' Up!On the inside of the card, I stamped a matching flower from the card front and stamped the sentiment with Gorgeous Grape ink. I hope you like my card where I used something “old” and something “new.”  You can now head over HERE to see what the other design team members made to answer this sketch challenge. In the meantime, I wish you All Things Fabulous!
