Hello and welcome to the Thursday Challenge by Create With Connie & Mary. Today I made a whimsical card that sends a merry hello to a friend. Here is the sketch challenge:

The Card:
I used the Candy Cane background stamp set for the background rectangle. Then, I used the Be Jolly stamp set to stamp the images with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Next, I colored the tree with Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers and the ornaments with Real Red and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. Finally, I colored the tree trunk with Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends.
After coloring and fussy cutting the tree and the little birdie, I popped them up with dimensionals. I do not know if you will be able to see it but, I lightly brushed a very light coat of Real Red ink over the entirety of the candy canes because the background was just too bright white.

In the photo above, you can see the touch of Wink of Stella I added to the birdie’s hat.
