Welcome to another Thursday Challenge with Create with Connie and Mary! https://www.createwithconnieandmary.com I hope my card inspires you. Here is a look at today’s sketch challenge:
The Card
I have used the sketch by turning it a quarter turn instead of how it is pictured. I could send this card to so many people who inspire me. If you need a quick and easy card, this is it!
The Measurements
- Highland Heather Cardstock (CS) – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored and folded at 4 1/4″
- DSP – 3″ x 4 1/2″
- Basic White CS – 3″ x 4 1/2″, 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside)
- Purple Posy – 3 3/4″ x 3/4″
The Details
After stamping the floral image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, I colored the flowers and leaves with dark Daffodil Delight, Light Soft Suede, Highland Heather combo, and Old Olive Combo. As seen in the photo, I stamped the top of the same image on the card’s inside and colored it the same. Finally, I added a 3/4″ strip of Purple Posy, with glue dots, to the bottom after stamping the sentiment on it. Clearly, you could use any sentiment from Happy Birthday to Thinking of You.
Finishing Touch
For the finishing touch, I added three Basic Pearl Jewels to the Purple Posy strip. In this up-close photo, you can see a more detailed view of the coloring. I hope I have inspired you to make a similar, quick, and easy card. Now, it is time for you to go to HERE to check out what the other demonstrators have done to inspire you today.
