Stamper’s Dozen – Going, Going, Gone

Hello, and welcome to another Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop!  This month we are focusing on the “Going, Going, Gone” retiring items that will be going away on June 2nd to get ready for our brand new catalog.

THE CARD

Almost everything used to make this card will be retiring at the end of the month.  I don’t know about you but, I will miss everything from the Corrugated 3D embossing folder to the adorable “On To Adventure” stamp set!

The List of Retiring Products – Going away at the end of May

And, as a side note, the embossing buddy, used during the embossing of this card, will not be sold from the new catalog.

I had a request to make a female retirement card.  The On To Adventure stamp set made it easy.  And, knowing the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper (DSP) would fit the bill for a retiree going to the tropics to enjoy life, I checked the color palette of the DSP to choose the colors for my card.  I love how it turned out!  The Old Olive bannered DSP is the reverse side of the floral patterned DSP.  The sentiment is Whisper White heat-embossed onto Real Red cardstock.  The “happy” sentiments were hand-cut as seen, while the larger sentiment was die-cut with a Stitched Rectangle die.
Finally, after stamping the little retired lady with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloring her with Stampin’ Blends, I die-cut the image with the largest rectangle in Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Finishing Touch

Do you see it?!?  I added a red rhinestone to her hat!

Now – A BONUS card!

Check out this fabulous surprise card *I received* from a sister-demonstrator!  Sandy Vincent from Henderson, NV, sent me this adorable card using the “This Little Piggy” stamp set that will also retire at the end of the month!  Miss Piggy is absolutely the cutest wearing a mask to protect herself and others from the COVID-19 episode of life.

Be sure to check out the retiring items that will be going away soon.  Thank you for hopping along with all of us today!  Now, click on the link below to advance to the next blog on the hop.  I hope to see you again next month!

Judy, you are too kind to post my Piggy card. I did case the idea from Lori Heiling’s blog.
    Thanks for the compliment.

    1. And thank YOU for the comment! I was so surprised and delighted when I received the card. It made my day!! Thanks again.

    1. Thank you, Debbie! That tropical paper should just stay as a staple in the SU cabinet of products. LOL!
