Hello, Everyone! Thank you for stopping by today! Since March is my birthday month, I have opted to show photos of cards using the Happy Birthday To You (FREE) Sale-A-Bration stamp set and the coordinating dies. Click HERE to see a Birthday Cake card previously posted. Today I am showing three cards that I received from an organized, mailed swap. Cathy Miller created the first two cards.
The Cake Cards
For Cathy’s first card, she combined Petal Pink, Smokey Slate, Silver Foil, and, of course, Whisper White. I love the color palette! Although the true beauty of this card is difficult to capture in a photo, it is gorgeous in person. And, please note, she did not have to color the flowers. She silver-embossed the flowers onto the Petal Pink cardstock. From her choice of colors to the detail of the Parisian Flourish 3D embossed piece, the embossing, and the rhinestone jewels, Cathy’s card is a stand-out.
Cathy Miller’s second card uses my favorite color – purple! I love any shade of purple! This combination of Purple Posy and Gorgeous Grape is lovely, and it has the ribbon to match too! She opted to color the flowers with Stampin’ Blends. Do you love the Stampin’ Up!® color coordination? I love that the inks, Blends, cardstock, and embellishments all work so well together!! Thanks to Cathy for two beautiful cards!
Final Birthday Card (for today)
And, last but certainly not the least is this beautiful card created by Barb Mullikin. Barb used Stampin’ Blends to color the flowers, and she added some shine to the card-front by using Silver Foil for the leaves. I love how she incorporated the harmonious strip of designer series paper to the edge of the focal piece, drawing my eye directly to the cake.
In Conclusion
I am so fortunate to be able to swap cards with such a wonderful group of talented demonstrators. I am having fun showing off other people’s cards! I hope these cards, 1) inspire you to replicate them, and 2) show you how different people created quite different cards using the same stamp set and die.
