Christmastime Peace & Joy

Hello, Stampers!  Today I have a Christmas card made with the Christmastime Is Here suite using the Peace & Joy sentiment.

The Card

Once again,  I used the Stamparatus to help make this card.  I also stamped the center roses a second time, on a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock so I could fussy-cut them.  I added dimension by popping these roses up using dimensionals.

The Measurements

Cherry Cobbler Cardstock- 8 12/” x 5 1/2″, score and fold at 4 1/4″

Very Vanilla Cardstock – 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″, 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″ (inside), scrap

Early Espresso Cardstock – 3 7/8″ x 4 7/8″, 3 3/4″ x 5″ (inside)

Designer Series Paper – 3/8″ x 3 5/8″ (inside)

Gold Foil Sheet – 4″ x 1″

Side View

If you look along the bottom edge, you will see the gold border and, can count six points along the edge.  The die for this has only five points so, I cut 1 1/2 of them and placed them side by side gluing to the bottom edge of the Early Espresso.   The focal panel is glued directly onto the card front.  The only item dimensioned, as mentioned above, are the fussy-cut roses.   I stamped the cling, outline stamp with Early Espresso ink and then used: Cherry Cobbler for the roses, berries and Peace & Joy sentiment, Mossy Meadow for the foliage and Early Espresso for the pinecones.  The finishing touch was the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots that were strewn around the card.  To read more precise instructions for using the Stamparatus, click here.

On this close up photo, you can see that I stamped-off before stamping the popped-up roses.  Another way to achieve the lighter rose is to use Lovely Lipstick without stamping off.  In fact, I really like that better than the Cherry Cobbler.

The Inside

To tie everything together, I matted the inside of the card the same as the card front and added a tad of designer series paper, as shown.  Once again, the sentiment was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.  You are welcome to download a FREE instruction sheet for this card by clicking this link: Christmastime Garza Oct 2019
