Simple Christmastime

As I said last Friday, I will be showcasing the Christmastime Is Here suite this week.  Please remember that this suite is different than the ones before it in that, the products can be purchased separately.  Other suites have been all or nothing.  So, I am over the moon excited about this suite of products and that you can purchase extra designer series paper, ribbon and, embellishments alone!  I hope you like this simple Christmastime Is Here card.

The Card

On my card today, I am using the gorgeous specialty designer series paper (DSP) to showcase one pattern of the DSP that has an understated elegance in its simplicity.  Mounting it onto the Stitched Rectangle-cut gold foil sheet enhances its beauty.  And, the 1/4″  Gold Shimmer Ribbon bow sets off the sentiment.  Speaking of the sentiment, don’t you just love the beautiful scripted font?

The Measurements

Mossy Meadow- 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″

Cherry Cobbler- 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)

Shimmery White- 5″ x 3 3/4″ (inside) + scrap

Gold Foil Sheet- 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″

DSP- 4″ x 2 5/8″ and 1/2″ x 5″ (inside)

I used the third largest Stitched Rectangle Die to die-cut the gold foil sheet then glued the DSP to its center before gluing this unit to the card front.  After stamping the sentiment onto a scrap of Shimmery White cardstock using Cherry Cobbler ink, I used the unique frame die that is part of the Roses Dies from the Christmastime Is Here Suite.  I added dimension by adhering the sentiment with dimensionals and adding a small Gold Shimmer Ribbon bow with a glue dot.

The Inside

To coordinate the inside of the card with the card front, I stamped the sentiment with Cherry Cobbler ink onto a Shimmery White panel of cardstock.  After adding the 1/2″ strip of the same patterned DSP near the bottom, I glued this to the Cherry Cobbler panel and finally to the inside of the card.  This is a simple, yet elegant Christmastime Is Here card that can be replicated quickly if you are in need of multiple beautiful Christmas Cards.
