Hello Stampers!
The Stampers Dozen Blog Hoppers are here this month to give you a sneak peek of products from the upcoming 2019 Occasions catalog. This new catalog goes live on January 3, 2019. I had to make this card to give you a peek at my two new favorite thinlit sets. At the same time, I want to encourage you to send someone extra love. I have tried to keep the card simple to show off the beautiful coordination of the Forever Lovely stamp set with its matching framelits and furthermore, how it coordinates with the sentiment frame from the Rose Trellis thinlits.
You might be saying that this looks pretty complicated…right? Well, let me explain how simple it really is…
The amazing designers at Stampin’ Up! outdid themselves this time (in my humble opinion) Look closely at all the flowers that are stamped with Lovely Lipstick ink. They were all stamped in one fell swoop with one stamp that fits perfectly across a four inch wide layer of cardstock.
The measurements
After cutting my 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Lovely Lipstick card base, scoring and folding it at 4 1/4″, I cut two (2) Whisper White panels that measure 4″ x 5 1/4″.
First, I stamped the flowers across the first piece of Whisper White cardstock with Lovely Lipstick ink followed by stamping the leaves and wingdings (that again are all on one stamp) with Pear Pizzazz ink, carefully lining them up with the flowers.
Next I ran the second piece of Whisper White through the Big Shot with the long floral thinlit from Lovely Flowers dies. The edgelit that aligns with the flowers was used it to cut the floral edge. Finally, I lined the die cut flowers directly on top of the stamped flowers, glued it in place and then cut off the excess at the bottom. To finish, I adhered this layered panel to the card front.
The Lovely Lipstick ribbon was arranged as shown and adhered with glue dots. The sentiment from Forever Lovely stamp set was stamped onto Whisper White with Lovely Lipstick ink and die cut with the sentiment framelit from the Rose Trellis thinlits. I love the cool holes punched around the sentiment.
