No-Stamp Peacock

Hello, and welcome to my blog.  Today, I want to showcase the amazing Peacock die and then, share the Stampin’ Up! specials that begin TODAY!  So, keep reading all the way to the end!

The Card:

Surprisingly, this card uses no stamps…on the outside, anyway. I think this beautiful Detailed Peacock die, combined with Perennial Essence designer series paper, makes a glorious display of beauty.  As you can see, I used the Beads and Baubles embossing folder on the Blueberry Bushel panel that I layered onto the same colored card base.  Here is a close-up of the card in an effort to portray the shine and glimmer of the card.  Can you see that I brushed Wink of Stella over the designer series paper?  It is so hard to photograph!

The Dimensions and Details:

Blueberry Bushel Cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored and folded at 4 1/4″,  5 1/4″ x 4″ run through Beads and Baubles Embossing Folder.

Balmy Blue Cardstock – 3 1/5″ x 5″ die cut with third largest Stitched Rectangle die (inside),  2 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ die cut with oval Heirloom Frames die using the middle oval only.

Noble Peacock Foil Sheets – 2 3/4″ x 4 1/2″ to die cut Detailed Peacock.

Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper – 2 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ to die cut tail feathers.

Extras: a tiny pearl colored with Dark Black Blends for eye-ball.  Three of the pink rhinestone gems from Noble Peacock Pearls.  Sponge dauber to sponge Blueberry Bushel ink around the oval.

The Inside:

I just could not bear to intrude on the gorgeous card front with a sentiment.  This card would work for so many things!  So, using the Beautiful You stamp set, I stamped the sentiment on the inside as seen below.

I hope this card inspires you to experiment with this die and different designer series papers.  It is a very simple card with a big bang, just what we are all looking for.  You can find all the supplies that I used to create this card below.
