Trees CCMC 690

Hello, Everyone! Thank you for joining the weekly Thursday Challenge from Create with Connie & Mary.  This week we have a color challenge. Check out the challenge and my card!

The Challenge:

The Card:

A side view of a Christmas card using the Whimsy & Wonder Suite in the 2021 July-December Mini Catalog by Stampin' Up!How do you like these whimsical trees? I was surprised that I could meet this color challenge with a Christmas card! I popped the trees up on a layer of Basic White cardstock (CS) that I embossed with the Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder.

Another Look:

A Christmas card using the Whimsy & Wonder Suite in the 2021 July-December Mini Catalog by Stampin' Up!I contemplated stamping the Polished Pink tree on Blushing Bride instead of the Basic White. But, since I already had one Blushing Bride tree with Polished Pink stamped on it, I decided to keep the Basic White one.  Let’s have a vote in the comments! What do you think?

Inside the Tree Card:

Up Close:

I especially want to call your attention to the bow atop the Blushing Bride tree.  I used the Blushing Bride 3/8″ Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon. Wait! That is way thinner than 3/8″! Yes, I cut the ribbon in half lengthwise, which allowed it to fray some more. It was easy to tie, and I love the look.   The entire Whimsy and Wonder suite is on pages 24-25 in the current mini catalog! Check it out!!
